September 11 and the COVID pandemic: How to remain sane in an insane world. Presentation by Chaplain Joanne Martindale.
A fourth Tuesday “lunch” September 22nd, Noon to 2 PM
Chaplain Joanne Martindale served on ground zero at the 9-11 event. She is no stranger to exercising leadership in crisis situations. Chaplain Martindale served at Walter Reed Hospital during Desert Storm/Desert Shield in 1991. Chaplain Martindale was a first responder to ground zero and the land fill during 9-11 helping firefighters, FEMA workers, military personnel and families who had lost loved ones at that site. Chaplain Martindale served as the Division Support Command Chaplain in Operation Iraqi Freedom III at Forward Operating Base Speicher in 2004/2005 for 545 days. Chaplain Martindale was also hand picked by the governor of NJ to be the lead trauma counselor for the Rwandan refugees in 1996 after the Genocide. She has been a guest of the Vatican and served as a keynote speaker at Princeton Seminary.
