Common Roots Farm Ribbon Cutting Celebration Sept 25 11am-2pm
Greetings from you friendly Hunger Advocate -- and an excited one at that!
On Saturday the 25th you are invited to come out for an open house from 11-2pm where you can see the new special needs based intentional community housing. Eight very special community members of the 20 are already moved in!
There will be farm treats, grown by these awesome participants, as well as information on how you can get involved as the world is reopening and the farm hosting volunteer groups/individuals once again. This is an exciting time and I so hope that you see the farm as a mission and reprieve site for you and your congregations for many years to come.
An event flyer is below, and at this link is an article I wrote for the National PCUSA Church several years ago when this project was still in its infancy! In the future we are hoping to start a regular inclusive worship series as well as interactive art, farming, and recreation programs for any and all ability levels.
