COMMITTEE ON PREPARATION FOR MINISTRY

The purpose of the Committee on Preparation for Ministry is to give guidance to and have oversight of Inquirers and Candidates for church vocations.  (Book of Order G-2.06 entire section)

Some of the Committee on Preparation for Ministry’s responsibilities:

• Give guidance to Inquirers and Candidates
• Give interpretation and support for PCUSA seminaries
• Guidance and oversight of seminary students and graduates considering employment in the Presbytery which could lead to a call and request for ordination
• Counsel with pastors/sessions as they relate to Inquirers and Candidates for congregations
