UPDATE: added photo gallery!
PWP plans a Spring road trip from Santa Clara County to our sisters in Santa Cruz County and YOU are invited to participate. RSVP at the link above!
Caravan from PCLG
We will carpool/caravan from the Presbyterian Church of Los Gatos to Trinity Presbyterian Church of Santa Cruz. Carpol departs at 9:00 am sharp!
Coffee at SC Trinity
After a meet-and-greet with sisters from the coast we will hear presentations about two mission projects:
-
- Association of Faith Communities: Homeless Ministry
- Santa Cruz al Salvador
Picnic lunch among the flowers
We will move to nearby Common Roots Farm to visit their assisted living community, make art with Teresa Nelson, and share picnic lunch. San Jose Presbytery’s Hunger Advocate, Rev. Ryan Althaus, will lead a VIP tour of Common Roots Farm of Santa Cruz. This farm is wheelchair-accessible and boasts solid walking paths. If you have mobility issues, let us know when you sign up.
Scenic Drive through Santa Cruz to the Homeless Garden Project
We’ll then caravan through town on a scenic drive towards the Natural Bridges park, where we’ll see the Homeless Garden Project of Santa Cruz. After a brief stop we end the tour at the Homeless Garden’s Shop in downtown, where you can show your support through the purchase of wholesome treats produced at the garden.
